ONYX at Bay Adelaide Centre in the heart of the financial district in Toronto, was conceived with the idea of creating a space that was not similar to many of the nail salons out there that are typically more feminine and with softer tones. The idea here was to appeal to the modern customer that can appreciate minimalist modern aesthetic with stainless steel undertones and concrete inspired surfaces. The feeling is edging, sexy, modern, minimalist, urban.
With limewash finished walls and bulkheads the wall finishes are softer in tone in contrast to the mirrored stainless steel that’s the backdrop on the main display case. The large mirrored surfaces not only help aggrandize the space but also help the customer do a fit check.
Offering you privacy while you get your nails done, we introduced floor to ceiling semi-translucent acrylic panels at the entrance that allows you to feel like you have privacy but not locked in a dark space.
This is not your typical girlie nail salon, but if you’re not that girlie (like us!) you will breathe breath of fresh air.
