“A Shanghai block party: a place to gather, to share, to be entertained”
We were approached by the well-known advertising company Ogilvy & Mather to design their new workplace terrace located in the WPP ‘vertical campus’ in Shanghai.
A Corten steel plate structure plays around the terrace creating new spaces and shapes allowing fluidity and inspiring colleagues to share and gather. We designed a new environment to accommodate different functions such as bar, eating area, dj area, lounge and play area. The playful interconnectedness of the corten steel structures add an element of fun in this large outdoor gathering space inspiring people to gather, work, rest, and socialize.
